Noxious weeds, including Scotch Broom, have been established along County roads that provide primary access to National Forest Lands. These populations are a source of infestation on the Forest and other adjacent ownerships.
This project helped to remove this noxious weed from designated sites. Manual Scotch Broom removal was completed by Lincoln county corrections work crew along selected road edges. Plants were hauled away to a transfer station. Further spread of Scotch Broom and the addition of seeds to the seed bank were reduced or eliminated.
